The forthcoming Trofeo delle Industrie, race to be held next October 27-29 at the South Garda Karting circuit of Lonato, has already been exceptionally successful. The 46th edition will be filled up with a total of 250 drivers on track, that is a new record for this event in the past two decades.
The most ancient race in the history of karting, the Trofeo delle Industrie born in 1971 and still organized by Parma Motorsport, is reinvigorated for this 46th edition to be held next October 27-29 and relaunched its presence among the big international karting events. The Trofeo made a big jump forward from last year’s 214 drivers.
The 46th Trofeo delle Industrie is fileld up with 250 entered drivers and reached the cap of 72 entrants in KZ2 and in 60 Mini, the cap of 54 drivers for OK-Junior, and that of 34 drivers in X30 Senior. Some places are still available in OK though, that currently counts about twenty entered drivers.
Several factory teams will be present like CRG, DR, Maranello, CKR, VRK, Energy Corse, Gold, BirelArt, Intrepid, TB Kart, Parolin, Formula K, Evokart and the main national and international teams.
Quantity is not the only important thing in the 46th Trofeo delle Industrie, as the quality of drivers is extremely high too. In KZ2, racers of the likes of GP3 Series driver Alessio Lorandi, and former European Champions Fabian Federer and Andrea Dalè, Italian reigning Champion Marco Zanchetta, the quick Giacomo Pollini who has been shining also in the Italian championship, Marco Pastacaldi and Flavio Sani, the several times champion Davide Forè, 2016 Italian Champion Riccardo Longhi, the winner of the recent Autumn Trophy Giuseppe Palomba, 2015 Italian Champion Lorenzo Camplese, Manuel Cozzaglio, the Swede runner up in the recent CIK FIA Super Cup Benjamin Tornqvist, Mirko Torsellini and Alessandro Pelizzari both entered by Chiesa Corse and several other strong drivers will be present.
In OK-Junior, the recent winner of the Rok Cup International Luca Bosco will be present, as the Russian Alexey Brizhan, OK-Junior’s World Champion Dexter Patterson from England and his fellow countryman and team mate at Forza Racing Jonny Edgar, Italian 60 Mini Champion Gabriele Minì, the British driver Harry Thompson, the Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto, and some other important names including several protagonists of Mini.
Leonardo Marseglia, the Spanish driver Kilian Meyer, Mattia Michelotto, Michael Rosina and Andrea Rosso at the debut with CRG will certainly come to the fore in OK.
Several drivers will challenge each other for the victory in 60 Mini. Among all, Alfio Spina and the Russian Nikita Bedrin have also fought great battles in this season finale, together with former F1 driver Luca Badoer’s son Brando Badoer.
The X30 Challenge champion Carlo Aldera will be at the start of Iame X30 Senior as the vice-champion Andrea Bristot, the winner of the first X30 round at the recent Andrea Margutti Trophy Vittorio Maria Russo and Cristian Comanducci, all protagonists of the Italian ACI Kart Iame Championship.
